Trisha Jacokes is based out of AHEC Southwest in Lafayette. She works with teachers and students in Saint Martin, Iberville, and Acadia Parishes.
Trisha is a Cajun native with a deep commitment to her community. With a background in Criminal Justice and a Master's in Forensic Psychology, she's spent 24 years in public service, including over a decade as an elementary school teacher. In 2019, she embarked on a personal health journey, losing over 100 pounds and discovering a passion for health. Trisha is a certified health coach, currently working towards national board certification. Her diverse experiences include living in a remote Alaskan village and traveling extensively. She now brings her dedication to teaching and passion for health and wellness to the EatMoveGrow team.
